What is a data analytics auditor?

Data Analytics Auditors are professionals who use data analysis techniques to assess, verify, and improve the accuracy and integrity of financial and operational audits. They leverage tools such as SQL, Python, or specialized audit software to analyze large datasets, identify patterns, detect anomalies, and provide insights that support audit objectives. Their work helps organizations enhance internal controls, mitigate risks, and make informed business decisions based on data-driven evidence.

How does a data analytics auditor typically collaborate with other departments during an audit?
