The Enrollment Management Data Analyst will support the Enrollment Division's data and reporting needs by providing advanced data analysis, reporting, and visualization to inform strategic enrollment decisions. Reporting to the Associate Director, Enrollment Systems & Technology, the Data Analyst position will work collaboratively across departments, including Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions and Student Financial Services, to provide insights and actionable recommendations on process effectiveness. The analyst will leverage data from the Student Information System, and additional internal and external sources to support the achievement of the enrollment goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Analyze and report on key enrollment metrics, including applications, yield, retention, and financial aid data, to inform strategy and decision-making.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to provide stakeholders with accessible and actionable insights.

  • Extract, clean, and integrate data from various systems, including Slate, Banner/Workday, and other institutional platforms, to support comprehensive reporting.

  • Collaborate with Enrollment Division teams to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improving recruitment, retention, and student success.

  • Ensure data quality and consistency by developing and implementing data validation processes, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records related to student data across all enrollment systems.

  • Conduct predictive modeling for yield rates and statistical analysis to forecast enrollment trends and assess the impact of recruitment and financial aid strategies.

  • Support ad hoc data requests and analyses to address emerging needs and priorities across the Enrollment Division.

  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of enrollment data in compliance with institutional policies and FERPA regulations.

  • Partner with Institutional Research and IT to improve data workflows and systems integrations.

  • Provide training and support to Enrollment Division staff on data tools and analytics best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS - Qualifications are deemed required or preferred and represent what is needed to effectively perform the job.

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field required.

  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or related functions, preferably in higher education or enrollment management required.

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases required. Knowledge of Python or R preferred.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Slate or other higher education platforms required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES - May be representative, but not all-inclusive, of those knowledge, skills, and abilities commonly associated with the job.

  • Strong skills in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • High level of initiative and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
