The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:

RTX’s Enterprise Services Data and AI Organization (ES-Data & AI) is seeking a highly motivated, hands-on, digital thought leader to help architect and engineer the next generation of enterprise-wide Data, Analytics and AI Ecosystem for RTX.  You will be a member of a cross-functional team where you can bring your problem-solving and collaboration skills to solve complex problems in the aerospace and defense industry.  This role will work closely with RTX business units to challenge the boundaries of what’s possible and drive innovation.

The ES-Data & AI team is a catalyst for digital innovation and leadership within a Fortune 50 company.  Together we aim to achieve new levels of productivity by changing the way we work and identifying new sources of growth for our customers.

What You Will Do

  • Design and implement Data, ML and Agentic architectures across a wide range of business domains.

  • Continuously evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and tools to enhance platform capabilities, efficiency, and scalability.

  • Establish and enforce best practices for data and agentic systems

  • Work closely with data scientists, ML engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders to translate technology into operational value.

  • Maintain and continuously improve the operational model of the platform, including working with the Operations team to provide best-in-class monitoring, logging, alerting, incident management, and disaster recovery procedures.

  • Continuously evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and tools to enhance platform capabilities, robustness, efficiency, security and scalability.

  • Partner with the enterprise architecture and data and AI governance teams to align the platform capabilities and controls to internal and external Legal, Cyber and Governance requirements

Qualifications You Must Have 

  • Typically requires a University Degree in STEM, Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience

  • 10+ years of experience in architecture, systems engineering, software, or related fields with experience in data and automation architecture, AI/ML platforms, and distributed systems.

  • Experience in knowledge/property graphs, ontologies, semantic layers, and technologies for large-scale data integration.

  • Experience in deployment processes, including IaC, GitOps, Kubernetes, CI/CD methodologies, and DevOps frameworks.

  • Experience in advanced context management, harmonizing data governance tools, ontologies, semantic layers, and AI context.

  • Experience in cloud infrastructure deployments (Azure/AWS) and Python for automation and operational management.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in Aerospace, Defense, or other regulated industries, including government or classified environments.

  • Expertise in data and AI governance, analytics, machine learning, and data utilization patterns.

  • Demonstrated ability to convert technology to business value

  • Strong leadership, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a focus on simplifying processes.

  • Proven ability to foster a positive culture and effectively communicate, organize, and present in a large organization.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
