Job description

Join a team improving the way quality assurance testing is designed, executed, and defended through analytics and automation. You will turn evolving requirements into structured solutions that are scalable, well-controlled, and easy to reuse.

As an Analytics Solutions Associate Senior at JPMorganChase within the Know Your Customer (KYC) Quality Assurance organization, you will design, build, and maintain analytics-driven solutions that improve sampling methodology, testing execution, and review efficiency. You will partner with quality assurance leads, risk managers, operations teams, and control partners to translate business needs into structured analytical requirements and repeatable workflows. You will apply statistical sampling techniques and automation to support consistent, defensible conclusions. You will build controls and validation into analytics outputs to improve reliability and auditability. You will communicate methodology decisions and findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This role focuses on statistical sampling, process automation, data integration, and methodology documentation. You will develop programmatic frameworks and reusable tooling that enable consistent testing coverage and transparent sampling logic. Success requires strong analytical judgment, comfort working through ambiguity, and disciplined documentation practices. You will contribute to continuous improvement by identifying control gaps, standardizing approaches, and reducing manual effort through automation. The role is well suited for an analyst ready to take greater ownership in a financial crime risk and controls environment.

Job responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain programmatic frameworks supporting quality assurance testing, sampling, and review processes
  • Develop Python automation tools to generate samples, validate inputs, track coverage, and document methodology
  • Apply statistical techniques (including confidence intervals, error rates, stratification, and sample sizing) to support quality assurance conclusions
  • Translate loosely defined testing needs into structured analytical requirements, technical logic, and repeatable workflows
  • Integrate data from internal systems, APIs, and structured data feeds to enable sampling, testing, and workflow automation
  • Partner with quality assurance leads, risk managers, and operations teams to identify control gaps and improve testing design
  • Lead targeted process improvements through automation, standardization, and stronger analytical controls
  • Perform data quality checks, exception analysis, and output validation to ensure results are accurate, complete, and defensible
  • Produce clear documentation of sampling logic, assumptions, methodology, limitations, and controls for audit and regulatory review
  • Support governance processes by coordinating with compliance, legal, and control partners and completing required documentation and forms
  • Communicate analytical findings, risks, and methodology decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in analytics, quality assurance analytics, risk, controls, financial crime, or operations analytics
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative field
  • Strong Python skills, including scripting, data manipulation, and reusable code development
  • Practical experience applying statistical sampling methodologies, error measurement, and data validation techniques
  • Proficiency with SQL for querying, joining, and analyzing large structured datasets
  • Working knowledge of machine learning concepts and common frameworks, with ability to apply techniques such as anomaly detection or classification when appropriate
  • Experience integrating data via APIs, structured data feeds, or system-generated datasets
  • Basic UNIX/Linux command line skills
  • Demonstrated ability to identify automation opportunities and drive adoption of consistent, scalable processes
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort operating in controlled, highly regulated environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including explaining analytical approaches and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative field
  • Experience supporting KYC anti-money laundering, financial crime, risk, controls, audit, or regulatory review processes
  • Experience with Apache Spark or other distributed data processing tools
  • Familiarity with Databricks or similar cloud-based analytics platforms
  • Exposure to generative AI use cases for automation, documentation, workflow efficiency, or quality review support
  • Experience documenting analytical methodologies for audit, risk, compliance, or regulatory review
