Job Description Summary

The Insights & Analytics Associate Director is a highly consultative role accountable for generating robust analytics that materially impact the business and drive greater business results across the enterprise portfolio. The role requires strong primary market research and quantitative data skills as well as the ability to communicate findings and insights to other groups. Importantly, this role is a key liaison with marketing and sales teams, which requires strong partnership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication with a demonstrated ability to translate the complex in an accessible way to drive results. The Insights & Analytics Associate Director should bring significant expertise in market research and analytics and contribute to defining best practices and innovating new approaches and methodologies in market research and analytics.
This individual will be part of the Insights & Analytics team and support multiple products within the portfolio, as well as supporting business development and new product planning. Over the next 18 months, a significant portion of the scope of this role will be focused on planning for the launch of an anticipated new indication into a new specialty for one of Keenova's largest products. This individual will report to the Executive Director of Business Analytics.

Job Description

Business Analytics

  • Partners with commercial leaders to elucidate key business strategic and tactical questions and identify opportunities to design research to help answer those questions
  • Leads a variety of primary market research and/or sub-national data analytics projects to inform key strategic and tactical decisions
  • Strategically partner with product portfolio strategy teams to assess potential new internal product development opportunities and develop and execute market research to help inform go/no-go decisions as well as refine clinical development plans
  • Develops concise and compelling presentations capturing the key business questions and results
  • Lead organizational thinking and introduction of capabilities to leverage AI in primary market research

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Math, Engineering, Operations Research, Market Research, Economics, Social Sciences or Business required
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field is preferred
  • 7-10 years' experience in Commercial Analytics, Business Analysis, Forecasting, or Sales Operations, within the Pharmaceutical industry or as a Consultant is preferred
  • Experience in managing and analyzing a range of large, secondary pharmaceutical databases (e.g. specialty data, medical claims data, APLD) is preferred.

Knowledge

  • Experience with primary market research
  • Strong data skills, with demonstrated ability to use tools such as Tableau to obtain, cleanse, and standardize data so that it is suitable for analysis
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office products (e.g. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Keen understanding of major drivers of product success and Health Care environment preferred.

  • Must demonstrate strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Strong oral and written skills with the ability to direct discussion with confidence and courage in order to drive business decision-making and actions.
  • Must have ability to influence without authority.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivery and adept management of multiple work streams.
  • Superior analytical skills with proven ability to think outside the box and answer challenging business questions effectively and efficiently is required.
