Job Overview: Manufacturing Analytics & Business Intelligence Department: Operations / Manufacturing Excellence Reports To: Sr. Maintenance Manager Location: Essex, Vermont Position Summary The Data Analyst is responsible for acquiring, processing, analyzing, and visualizing manufacturing data to support operational excellence, productivity improvements, and strategic decision-making. This role serves as the primary resource for transforming complex production, maintenance, quality, and supply chain data into meaningful dashboards, reports, and actionable insights.

The successful candidate will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Leadership teams to design and maintain reporting solutions using Power BI, Tableau, MDS (Manufacturing Data System), Excel, SQL, and other analytics tools. This position plays a critical role in supporting highly automated manufacturing operations through data-driven decision making. Key Responsibilities Data Acquisition & Integration Collect, validate, and consolidate data from manufacturing systems including: MDS (Manufacturing Data System) MES platforms SCADA and PLC systems ERP systems Quality management systems Maintenance management systems (CMMS) Data warehouses and cloud platforms Develop automated data extraction and transformation processes to improve reporting efficiency.

Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across multiple systems. Business Intelligence & Reporting Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using: Power BI Tableau Excel Reporting Services Build automated reporting solutions that provide visibility into: OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) Production performance Downtime analysis Yield and scrap performance Quality metrics Labor efficiency Maintenance KPIs Inventory and supply chain metrics Create executive-level reports that support strategic decision making. Manufacturing Analytics Analyze production trends and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Perform root cause analysis using production and operational data. Develop statistical models and KPI scorecards to measure business performance. Support Continuous Improvement initiatives through data analysis and visualization.

Identify emerging trends, performance gaps, and areas requiring corrective action. Business Partnership Work directly with plant leadership to define reporting requirements. Translate business needs into technical reporting solutions.

Train end users on dashboard functionality and data interpretation. Serve as a subject matter expert for manufacturing analytics and reporting tools.
