Job Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst (AI) lead the development, deployment, and governance of advanced analytics and artificial intelligence solutions that drive data-informed decision-making across local government.

Role and Responsibilities:
•Develop machine learning models, predictive analytics solutions, natural language processing (NLP) tools, and AI-powered automations.
•Lead end-to-end model development, including: Data acquisition, Feature engineering. Model training and validation, deployment and monitoring.
•Apply Responsible AI principles to ensure fairness, transparency, explainability, accountability, and compliance.
•Establish and maintain data quality standards, metadata management practices, and comprehensive model documentation.
•Partner with Information Technology and Cybersecurity teams to ensure secure handling of sensitive and regulated data.
•Support the development and implementation of: AI ethics guidelines, Model risk management frameworks.
•Identify opportunities to leverage AI and analytics to improve service delivery, reduce operational costs, and enhance community outcomes.
•Translate complex analytical findings into actionable business insights for executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
•Provide mentorship, coaching, and technical guidance to analysts and departmental partners.
•Design and develop dashboards, automated reports, and data visualizations that communicate trends, forecasts, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational metrics.
•Integrate AI-generated insights into reporting environments to support real-time decision-making and operational readiness.
•Develop and maintain business intelligence solutions, including Power BI dashboards, to support transparency, executive reporting, and organizational performance management.

Qualifications:
•Bachelor's Degree in one of the following: Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems and or Engineering preferred.
•7+ years analytics experience
•Python, SQL, Power. ML forecasting Models, GenAI solutions using Azure.
•Experience with governance, compliance, and model documentation
•Advance SQL
