Mandatory Technical Skills:

Perform ongoing and ad-hoc analyses of customer and external data for Skype for

Business (S4B) Marketing applications. Perform ad-hoc queries and data pulls to support

group marketing efforts.

Collaborate with S4B statistician on joint projects. 

Act as internal consultant to S4B Marketing team, working directly with SME

stakeholders to translate their business asks and needs into relevant analysis. 

Partner with business, data, technology, statistical and other SMEs to conduct analysis

of S4B databases. Partner with data/system SMEs to develop a robust understanding of

available data attributes and limitations.

Perform deep dive business / quantitative analysis on massive sets of complex and,

sometimes, unstructured data to prepare for statistical analysis

Leverage statistical methodologies, techniques and analytics to deliver deep insights

into S4B Marketing business decision-making

Leverage existing understanding of and access to Microsoft commercial databases (e.g.,

MS Sales) and data repositories (i.e., Cosmos)

Write new or modifying existing statistical code, using R or SQL and/or other tools

Collaborate with Data Scientists to interpret, write-up and present results of conducted

analyses

Document S4B Marketing data sources, systems and processes, as needed.

Partner with internal data providers to access and transform data into standard

reporting

Partner with Engineering Team to ensure ongoing continuity of our marketing systems

and technologies, and to enable processes and procedures that ensure the ongoing health of

our marketing data and platform

Desirable Technical Skills:

SQL

Scope/Cosmos

R programming

Desirable Functional Skills:

Previous experience working with Microsoft. 

Previous experience working in Lync or Skype businesses

Passion to drive improvement in the overall customer experience

Customer focused / user empathy skills

Experience working within a geographically-dispersed team

Excellent problem solving skills

Experience working across multiple groups and teams

Be self-critical and have an accountable work approach

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that includes an aggressive release schedule

Experience working with many language versions

A BS degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
