Job description

If you like solving complex international trade problems using your deep compliance skills, this is the opportunity for you! The Senior International Trade Compliance Analyst provides expert leadership in ensuring the company's adherence to U.S. and international trade regulations. This role involves strategic oversight of compliance initiatives, managing highly complex export/import authorizations, and acting as a senior advisor on compliance matters.Our team is responsible for government affairs, international strategy, international business, and trade and regulatory compliance. We provide strategic guidance across the organization, helping to find alignment and compliance between SNC and the national security priorities of the U.S. government.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain compliance dashboards, reports, and metrics to identify trends, anomalies, risks, and drive actionable insights and improvements to leadership and stakeholders.

  • Develop and present key trade compliance program metrics and performance indicators to senior leadership on a recurring basis.

  • Build and maintain automated reporting tools to reduce manual effort and improve data accuracy and timeliness.

  • Translate complex regulatory and operational data into clear, concise visual reports for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Lead and support the integration of trade compliance tools and systems with internal ERP, logistics, and business platforms.

  • Collaborate with IT and business operations teams to design, test, and implement system enhancements that support compliance workflows.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and provide ongoing technical support for international trade compliance tools and systems

  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology to streamline and automate compliance processes.

  • Document system integration workflows, data flows, and technical specifications to ensure international trade requirement integration, operational continuity, and auditability.

  • Plan, manage, and execute trade compliance projects from initiation through completion, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within scope.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including legal, logistics, engineering, security, and IT to drive compliance initiatives forward.

  • Develop project plans, timelines, risk registers, organizational change management (OCM) strategy, and status reports for compliance initiatives.

  • Serve as a liaison between compliance, business, and technology stakeholders to align priorities and communicate project progress.

  • Support and manage continuous improvement efforts within the trade compliance function.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Information Systems, International Trade, or similar).

  • 5+ years of experience in international trade compliance, data analytics, or a related field.

  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 9 years of related experience is required.

  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in data analytics, report building, or business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL, or similar).

  • Experience with maximizing MS365 capabilities (Sharepoint, Powerapps, Powerautomate, Copilot, etc.)

  • Experience supporting or leading system integration projects or technology implementations.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.

  • Certification in Trade Compliance, Project Management, or Data Analytics.

  • Advanced knowledge of trade compliance platforms such as OCR EASE, DECCS, SNAP-R, and ACE.

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Costpoint) and their integration with trade compliance workflows.

  • Working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR), Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and other relevant trade regulations.

  • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages for data automation (e.g., Python, R, or similar).

  • Experience developing AI use cases and building agentic workflows.

  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or other structured project management methodologies.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.

  • Requires good hand and finger dexterity for data entry.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.

  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $118,360.24 - $162,745.34. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
