A Day In The LifeThe Financial Analyst โ€“ Reinsurance will 1) analyze financial information, 3) prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and 4) enforce internal controls to protect company assets. The Financial Analyst - Reinsurance will also take action to enhance cross-functional coordination and expand internal communications in the GSFS Group and develop associates.

As a Finance Analyst โ€“ Reinsurance, you will:

  • Supports new dealer participation program accounts. Coordinate with Legal, Risk and Operations teams and communicate with all stakeholders' status of process through completion.
  • Prepares and analyzes pro-formas based on requests from Sales/Agents/Risk.
  • Analyze dealer statements and update Executive Dealer Portal with analytics.
  • Incorporates new products and/or companies in current processes as it relates to Dealer Participation Programs.
  • Coordinates data requirements and prepare analytics and recommendations for dealer obligor program.
  • Prepares and analyzes dealer profitability.
  • Ensure dealer "fact sheets" are updated accurately and timely.
  • Participates in annual business planning process; provides information and assistance to FP&A as requested.
  • Participates in annual state regulatory filings.
  • Coordinates and communicates actions between the Friedkin affiliated companies.
  • Researches and resolves dealer participation program questions and other customer issues in an agreed upon timeframe. Strives to satisfy customers. Minimizes referrals to management.
  • Participates on continuous improvement teams to enhance and/or streamline accounting processes.
  • Participate in evaluation, testing, and implementation of Information Technology projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • 0 - 1 year intern or co-op experience in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Exposure to investments, insurance, or financial services is a plus
  • Technical Skills - Solid understanding of: 1) Financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) and 2) Accounting principles (GAAP familiarity preferred)
  • Proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic data analysis)
  • Familiarity with financial systems or data tools is a plus

Physical and Environmental Requirements

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required daily to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.
