Job Summary:
Mattel, Inc. is a leading global toy and family entertainment company known for its iconic brands. The Sr Quality Data Analyst role focuses on data analysis and storytelling to support product quality and drive data-driven decision-making across global brand teams.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough data analysis to identify key trends, patterns, and insights, and present findings in a clear and visually engaging manner.
• Prepare and deliver high-impact insights and lesson learned presentations to stakeholders, to drive the development of high-quality products.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including quality engineering, global brand teams, and leadership - understand their data needs and translate them into effective insights for future development.
• Collaborate with PQA data team and global brand teams for enhancement proposals for interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau, to meet the evolving needs of the business.
• Offer guidance and empower cross-functional team members to utilize analytical tools independently, while fostering a data-driven culture.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data storytelling and data analytics, continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and improve our insights and storytelling capabilities.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
• Domestic travel on occasion.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis and data storytelling, with a demonstrated success of influence on actionable decisions made through data-driven insights.
• Experienced in Tableau, Confluence, and Jira, with strong analytical and data visualization skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in data analysis, statistics, mathematics, economics, business, or related analytical field is required.
• Evaluating data and insights critically to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely, while tailoring the narrative to specific needs and knowledge levels of the audience.
• Strong problem solver with the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
Preferred:
• Familiarity with AI tooling
• Experience with BigQuery
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or R
