Job description

Join Fleetway as an Engineering Application Analyst and play a key role in supporting the tools and systems that enable complex engineering work across our organization. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to maintain and improve CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems, including ShipConstructor and Aras Innovator.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in engineering technology, CAD, or PLM systems who enjoys solving technical problems, working with structured data, and finding better ways to support engineering teams. You will gain hands-on experience with industry tools, contribute to data integrity and system improvements, and build a strong foundation in engineering systems and processes.

This is not a traditional IT support role. It is an engineering-focused positio working directly with CAD models, engineering data, and the systems that support them.

  • Diploma or degree in Engineering Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field 
  • 2 to 5 years of experience working with CAD and/or PLM systems 
  • Experience supporting or maintaining engineering software environments such as ShipConstructor, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Aras Innovator 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an interest in improving systems and processes 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, technologists, and cross-functional teams 
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when working with structured data and technical documentation
  • Support and configure engineering data within CAD and PLM systems, including drawings, 3D models, and bills of materials (BOMs) 
  • Work closely with engineering teams to troubleshoot system issues and improve how tools are used day to day 
  • Manage user access, templates, and shared libraries used across engineering groups 
  • Assist with onboarding and training new users, and help maintain clear processes and workflows 
  • Organize and manage engineering documents, including version control and classification 
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in how Fleetway manages engineering systems and data 
  • Stay up to date with CAD and PLM tools and identify opportunities to enhance processes and workflows
