At Hertz, our senior product data analysts are responsible for developing and defining analytic best practices to generate informative research, reports, visualizations, and dashboards using internal and external data to provide actionable and strategic insights.

Your main objective is to leverage advanced analytics and data mining techniques to deeply understand our product performance and generate insights to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness by enabling proactive data-driven decisions across the organization. This includes fostering collaboration, building partnerships, co-developing products, sharing knowledge, providing insights and valuable predictive information to leadership teams to inform product strategy and highlight potential risks and opportunities that initiate the drive for change.

The role of the incumbent is to work on impactful strategic initiatives and use state of the art technologies to solve complex problems to enable and optimize our digital, connected fleet, pricing, and ridesharing products.

The salary range for this position is starting at $105,000.

What You’ll Do:

  • Define and implement best practices to generate accurate analytics, reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
  • Perform deep research on the company and industry to understand the industry’s current trends and challenges and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Liaise with stakeholders within the company to understand their needs and concerns and develop concise analytics to provide actionable insights to influence product strategy and performance.
  • Analyze and define success and performance metrics for current and new business initiatives, with a specific focus on A/B tests.
  • Integrate and curate data from a wide range of internal and external sources to develop detailed reports and dashboards.
  • Use data visualization tools to explain your results simply and succinctly to technical, non-technical, and senior audiences.
  • Dissect and solve complex business problems using analytical and quantitative approaches to identify patterns and correlations in large, complex datasets.
  • Guide business leaders with confidence in your analytics and reporting to ensure smooth execution.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in a data analyst role, preferably within mobility / transportation industry
  • Minimum of 2 years (preferably 5 years) hands on experience with Cloud Services, preferably Databricks.
  • Travel required up to 25%
  • Working capabilities in scripting languages such as Python.
  • Strong experience with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Strong capabilities in SQL and experience working with structured and semi-structured data.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with Agile/Scrum experience.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills with a proven record for identifying and diagnosing problems, and solving complex problems with simple, logical solutions.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and interaction skills, including ability to effectively communicate technical and non-technical information and concepts to multiple organization levels.
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, or other quantitative discipline such as statistics, mathematics, physics or engineering.
