Job description

We are hiring a Senior Data Analyst for our Internal Audit Analytics & Automation team!

As a Senior Data Analyst, we are seeking a hands-on analytics and automation professional who can code, build data pipelines, and deliver working solutions, while clearly communicating insights to business and audit stakeholders.

This role is a critical part of our team and focuses on delivering practical automation, analytics, and data engineering solutions that improve productivity and provide insight into the effectiveness of our control environment.

You'll collaborate with Internal Audit professionals and analytics infrastructure teams to build and deliver solutions using modern technologies. The ideal candidate brings strong Python, SQL, and data engineering skills, paired with the ability to explain technical work clearly to non-technical audiences.

Hybrid role requiring regular on-site presence at the Malvern, PA office. Qualified candidates must reside within commutable distance to this office.

Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Work with audit and business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into clear technical build specifications, and design process and data flows that align with audit objectives.

  • Project Management and Stakeholder Communication: Plan and deliver analytics and automation initiatives, communicating progress, designs, and results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Develop Automation / Audit Tools: Build production-ready analytics, automation, and data pipelines using tools such as Python, SQL, APIs, Power Automate, or Power Apps.

  • Report Visualization: Create dashboards and visualizations that communicate insights, exceptions, and trends clearly, with a focus on usability and business understanding.

  • Systems Integration, Process Improvement, and Optimization: Design and build solutions that integrate data across systems, improve data quality, and reduce manual effort through automation.

  • Keep Up with Technology and Be Innovative: Apply new analytics and automation techniques where they meaningfully improve solution delivery.

What it takes

  • Strong hands-on coding experience in Python and SQL

  • Experience building data pipelines, transformations, and validation logic

  • Experience using Power BI or Tableau to clearly communicate results, not just build dashboards

  • Ability to explain technical solutions and insights in plain, business-friendly language

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to balance multiple build priorities

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years related technical experience in analytics, data engineering, or automation roles

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent experience (e.g., MIS, IT, Data Engineering, Analytics, Computer Science)

  • Some working knowledge of audit, risk, or controls is helpful, but the primary focus is on technical delivery and communication
