Data Analyst, Marketing
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
General Electric Credit Union is a not-for-profit, member-owned full service financial institution headquartered in Cincinnati with branches in Ohio and Kentucky. Overview:
The Data Analyst - Marketing will operate as a liaison between the Credit Union's operational systems and marketing data users by creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations that provide necessary data. The Data Analytics department acts as a consultant for the lines of business and provides both raw data and in-depth analysis to end users to provide operational data as well as performance insights.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for data centered around Marketing products and services.
  • Act as a liaison between analytics department and Marketing to enhance breadth of analysis available to Marketing.
  • Service a queue of incoming data requests for the Marketing department by writing custom SQL queries against relevant databases.
  • Aid in creating internal data models that sufficiently service the data needs for Marketing campaigns and programs.
  • Consult with Marketing to understand data needs and advise on best method of data delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for further collection of data to drive business objectives.
  • Collect, organize, and validate large datasets from multiple systems.
  • Work closely with Data Engineering team to ensure systems and programs for collecting data are proficient and consistently meeting needs for collection and analysis.
  • Perform analysis on datasets on a regular or ad hoc basis as directed by Management.
  • Leverage professionalism, communication and presentation skills to transform data into dashboards, reports, graphics and presentations that are clear and understandable to business partners and senior leadership on a consistent basis

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or similar, or adequate experience and/or technical training.
  • 2-3 years experience in an analytical role in marketing, financial services, or similar
  • One to two years of experience with marketing or relevant coursework.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong experience with SQL, PowerBI, and Excel is required.
  • Advanced-level PowerBI and Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
  • Experience or training in Snowflake a plus.
