Power BI Developer
Dallas, TX (Remote)

Solugenix is assisting a client in their search for a Power BI Developer. This is a full-time opportunity based in Dallas, TX (Remote).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent technical knowledge and experience or 5 years of Domain experience with Mortgage industry (Servicing/MSP ICE products).
  • At least 7+ years of experience developing reports using SQL and Power BI.
  • Excellent SQL skills.
  • Sound knowledge of Joins, SQL management studio (SSMS), Queries, and result sets.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2022 and above, including managing databases and the use of Microsoft SSMS.
  • Have experience using AI tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, or Claude.
  • Having the ability to work with AI first strategy.
  • Uses AI to tune the queries and streamline and improve the code to save time.
  • Experience in development of dashboards and reports.
  • High energy and action-oriented with a history of getting things done.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working on projects from feature definition to project deployment.
  • Experience informing and assisting peers and other business stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Git.
  • Understanding of software development processes and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and requirements management skills.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of SSIS.
  • Work experience of SSRS and Looker both will be great.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop BI reports and dashboards.
  • Build and lead impactful and KPI-centric relationships with cross-functional team members.
  • Implement persistent derived tables, caching policies, version control, and assess code quality.
  • Investigate, improve and optimize query performance.
  • Help create and maintain coding standards and perform code reviews.
  • Assist with platform administration.
  • Communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Developing accurate calculations and validate that ad-hoc calculations are performant on large datasets.
  • Performs Unit tests via SQL Runner for data validation of result set/expected results.
  • Experience working on projects from feature definition to project deployment through the development lifecycle.
  • Experience informing and assisting peers and other business stakeholders on various business initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Git and it's interaction with the Looker platform.

Annual Base Salary Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $110,000 to $125,000. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training and/or experience.
