Job description

Overview:  EB’s Finance Digital Transformation Office (DTO) is further growing its data analytics and automation team to enable more insightful, interactive, and resilient financial data reporting as EB grows to support increasing demand for submarines from the US Navy in a world of rapidly transforming technology capabilities.  The candidates selected for this position will be responsible for building and maintaining data models and dashboards in Power BI as well as automations in Alteryx.  They will also be supporting a variety of AI, data, and technology related efforts.  We are seeking both entry-level and mid-career professionals for this team. 

Job Description: 

  • Building and maintaining Power BI data models
  • Developing automations and processes that grow Finance’s data analytics infrastructure, including using Alteryx
  • Developing Power BI dashboards for Financial data analytics and visualization
  • Partnering with various Finance organizations to grow their transformational thinking and data-related proficiencies
  • Supporting the evaluation and implementation of potential new technology solutions

Required:

  • A bachelor’s degree in data analytics, business, finance, mathematics, statistics, computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of combined experience in data modeling, data visualization, and/or reporting or, for entry-level or early-career candidates, a data-focused major or advanced degree and/or relevant certifications
  • Experience in Power BI (or similar software) data visualizations
  • Willingness to become proficient in new software; eagerness to learn

Preferred:

  • Experience in Financial applications of data analytics
  • Experience building automations in Alteryx
  • Experience in applying AI-driven improvements within an Enterprise, particularly in data analysis use cases
  • Familiarity with EB Finance’s data infrastructure (Oracle and/or Mainframe), reporting requirements, business systems, and/or government compliance requirements
  • Education beyond a bachelor’s degree in data analytics, data visualization, data science, or a related field
  • Familiarity with a variety of Finance Technology software products
