Job description

Wells Fargo is seeking a Power BI Developer for the CTO Data & Analytics team. This position is an advanced subject matter expert responsible for data analytics, visualizations, and database work that supports technology infrastructure goals and promotes data driven business decisions within the technology infrastructure environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role as a team lead who applies extensive hands-on experience with Power BI, ETL tools, reporting, and data analytics to drive the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of robust business intelligence systems and data visualization strategies. Specifically, the candidate will design, build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards, identify current data gaps, leverage available analytics tools and programming languages to mine available data and deliver analytic findings, and strategize with the team to create solutions with a robust focus on automation, scalability, and action-oriented intelligence. This position requires a candidate that will effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic, high pressure enterprise environment using Agile methodologies.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead highly complex initiatives including build, test, debug, and implementation of Power BI solutions.
  • Conduct advanced data analysis on highly complex design algorithms and interpret data from various sources that directly contribute to the improvement of Technology products
  • Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic, high-pressure enterprise environment using Agile methodology and practices
  • Leverage business intelligence tools to create clear results and reports that tell a compelling story to empower product teams to make data driven decisions through actionable metrics
  • Exercise independent judgment while also developing proficient understanding of supported technology, security and compliance requirements
  • Create test data and conduct unit and incremental testing
  • Champion and support other team members by increasing efficiency, removing blockers, escalating issues, and helping to mentor and grow fellow team members
  • Provide technical support, advice, and consultation with the issues relating to Power BI and supported applications
  • Consult and collaborate with internal business partners such as product management, technical leads, systems operations, and service and support organizations that own the data and/or product
  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommend innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of experience creating visual reports with Power BI
  • 5+ years of experience with data analysis and documentation

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience
  • 5+ years of data modeling experience
  • 5+ years of Microsoft SQL Server experience
  • 3+ years of JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) development experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • BS degree or higher in science or technology
  • Expertise with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
  • Advanced understanding of Quality Assurance (QA) methods: unit, load, system, user acceptance, and regression
  • Proven success working in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities while managing tactical and strategic deliverables to meet time lines
  • Experience using GitHub for version control and collaboration

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$100,000.00 - $179,000.00
