Otis Quality Intern

Otis Worldwide is searching for a highly motivated undergraduate student interested in starting a career in Quality! This is an internship opportunity offering a rewarding and challenging opportunity to learn, grow, and develop through meaningful projects that drive our business. Our comprehensive internship program will allow you to gain hands-on experience and broaden your skills. You'll be immersed in the Otis culture where we collaborate to best serve our customers; and where we empower and inspire each other through support, autonomy and trust.

This is a full-time, paid summer internship, typically ranging from 10-12 weeks, starting in May/June 2027. Throughout your internship, we will provide continuous training and performance feedback to ensure you develop the necessary skills to succeed with the hope of converting successful interns into full-time employees upon graduation.

The Otis Quality Intern will support the Field Quality team, assisting with field complaints received, supporting Quality projects, analyzing data sets to enable the report out on various key performance indicators, and improving and monitoring quality processes and standardizing documentation.

The Quality Internship is located at our Florence Factory in Florence, South Carolina.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with associates and engineers in identifying and eliminating the sources of quality defects through robust product and process improvements.
  • Providing data inputs and analyses for key performance indicators.
  • Performing and supporting analyses and verification of bill of materials.
  • Supporting Field Quality team on customer complaints and rapid resolutions.
  • Supporting Field Quality team on liaison activities between Factory and Field colleagues.
What You Will Need to be Successful:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment. Candidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills. Needs to be self-motivated and able to manage several simultaneous projects and responsibilities. Good mechanical and electrical aptitude.

The hourly range for this role is $20/hr to $23/hr. We may pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
