IMSolutions is seeking a Data Analyst to support a future opportunity with a federal agency anticipated to begin in September 2026

Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Remote/Hybrid as authorized by the Government and Companyas requested by the government.

Position Summary

The Data Analyst will support organizational and program objectives by collecting, analyzing, validating, managing, and reporting data to facilitate informed decision-making and operational efficiency.

Working independently or under general direction, the Data Analyst will perform data analysis, prepare and maintain data sets, develop recommendations based on findings, and support reporting requirements for government stakeholders. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to transform complex data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.

These functions include
  • Collect, analyze, validate, and interpret data from multiple sources to support program and business objectives.
  • Prepare, organize, cleanse, and enter data into prescribed data management systems and formats.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop recommendations and proposed solutions based on research findings and data analysis.
  • Create detailed specifications, process documentation, workflows, and flowcharts to support data management initiatives.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, summaries, and visual presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
  • Monitor data quality and perform data validation to ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Compile, organize, and analyze large volumes of data to support decision-making processes.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities through data analysis and reporting.
  • Support program evaluation efforts by measuring performance indicators and outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and documentation related to data management activities.
  • Collaborate with program staff, management, and technical teams to define reporting requirements and business needs.
  • Support ad hoc data requests, research initiatives, and analytical projects.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and data governance requirements.
  • Participate in meetings, working groups, and project reviews as required.
  • Perform additional analytical and reporting duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Administration, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Public Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in data analysis, reporting, business analysis, program analysis, or a related field.
  • Experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and reporting data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience preparing reports, summaries, and recommendations based on research and analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
