Job description

Citi's US in-house creative agency is looking for a data analyst to review performance data and market trends to strengthen its creatives. Our ideal candidate can consolidate complex data and present the findings in an easily understandable way, breaking down deep insights that designers and copywriters can apply to creative development. This analyst will also be responsible for tracking creative results and presenting the discoveries to senior leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and forecast trends to integrate into marketing creatives
  • Work closely with internal clients to collect performance results on in-house agency produced deliverables and report on the findings
  • Collect competitor work samples, identify key takeaways, and share with the team
  • Develop and implement a system for gathering and analyzing data, establishing baselines
  • Uncover customer insights through performance result analysis to advise copy and design and strengthen engagement
  • Lead lunch and learns with the in-house team and with marketing partners on marketing best practices
  • Present key learnings in a concisely and comprehensively to a senior-level audience
  • Think strategically to understand business needs and recommend ways of executing them through creative deliverables
  • Distill information from multiple sources and synthesize it into one central, compelling story
  • Work with internal clients to understand the strategy behind the key message
  • Effectively manage time to track multiple active campaigns, delivering high quality work

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Mass Communication/Advertising, or related field. Experience in financial services is a plus.
  • 8-10 years of related work experience (digital agency environment preferred), exceptional reporting and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Expert in MS Office applications, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience using Tableau software. Knowledge in SQL, Python and/or R is a plus.
  • Must have a strong ability to report data and metrics comprehensively, leveraging analytical apps and dashboards for clear visualization and insights
  • Adept at gleaning customer insights from creative performance data to inform strategy
  • Adaptable, Bold, Collaborative, Courageous and Determined and operates with a lot of empathy both in internal interactions and the clients
  • Experience presenting to senior leaders
  • Expert at reporting on market trends and performance data analysis to strengthen campaigns
  • Ability to work with the key business stakeholders, understand the central strategy and work with a team to execute effectively
  • Passion for analytical thinking and making complex data clear
  • An independent leader that's a self-starter with strong organizational skills
  • Eagerness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong sense of urgency to meet or exceed deadline expectations
  • Tech savvy; able to quickly adapt to new technology and assist team members in troubleshooting issues
