Position

Product Manager - Marketing & Communications

As the Product Manager for Marketing & Communications, you will be pivotal in driving the strategy and execution for Lumion’s growth‑focused SaaS modules. You will build the tools that allow trade and technical schools to find, engage, and enroll the next generation of students. You will work cross‑functionally with engineering, design, compliance, sales, and marketing to deliver high‑impact features ranging from lead capture and scoring to AI‑driven SMS automation and reputation management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Discovery & Strategy: Conduct customer research with admissions and marketing teams at educational institutions. Analyze market trends in MarTech, lead generation, and student engagement to build data‑driven roadmaps that help our schools grow their enrollment pipelines.
  • Lead Management & Scoring Execution: Own the end‑to‑end delivery of features that optimize the enrollment funnel. This includes designing robust lead capture forms, developing logic for lead scoring and attribution, and creating dashboards that give schools visibility into campaign performance.
  • Communications & Automation: Drive the development of our omnichannel messaging platform (SMS, Email, Chat). You will design workflows for marketing automation, appointment reminders, and two‑way messaging, ensuring schools can engage prospective students instantly and effectively.
  • AI & Reputation Management: Spearhead initiatives to integrate AI and LLMs into our communications stack to assist with drafting responses and automating follow‑ups. Manage features related to reviews and reputation management, helping schools build trust with prospective students.
  • Vendor & API Management: Identify and manage relationships with critical communication vendors (e.g., Twilio, SendGrid, OpenAI) to ensure high deliverability and performance. Manage integrations with external CRMs and marketing platforms to ensure seamless data flow for our customers.
  • Compliance & Deliverability: Work with legal and engineering to ensure all communication features comply with regulations (e.g., TCPA, 10DLC, CAN‑SPAM) while optimizing for high deliverability rates across SMS and email.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of product management experience, with a significant focus on B2B SaaS, MarTech, CRM, or Marketing Automation platforms.
  • Strong track record of successfully launching features related to lead generation, SMS/Email messaging, or workflow automation.
  • Deep proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Amplitude, Mixpanel) to measure funnel conversion, feature adoption, and engagement metrics.
  • Strong understanding of the marketing technology landscape, including lead scoring models, drip campaigns, and attribution reporting.
  • Working knowledge of communication compliance (TCPA, 10DLC registration, GDPR) and best practices for transactional and marketing messaging.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams, including Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, and external API providers.
  • Exceptional communication, problem‑solving, and analytical skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience implementing Generative AI features within a SaaS workflow (e.g., auto‑drafting messages, sentiment analysis).
  • Background in EdTech admissions software or Lead Management Systems (LMS).
  • Experience optimizing Review/Reputation Management tools.
  • Prior work in a high‑growth startup environment, juggling multiple priorities under tight timelines.
