Do you have extensive Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition experience supporting complex acquisition programs? Are you knowledgeable in the Defense Acquisition System and passionate about delivering capabilities to America's Special Operations Forces? If so, we invite you to join our team supporting U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology & Logistics (SOF AT&L).
ABOUT THIS ROLE
St. Michael's is seeking experienced Acquisition Analysts to support multiple organizations within USSOCOM SOF AT&L. Successful candidates will provide acquisition, program management, and strategic advisory support to one or more Program Executive Offices (PEOs) responsible for developing, acquiring, fielding, and sustaining mission-critical capabilities for Special Operations Forces.
This position supports a dynamic acquisition environment requiring collaboration with Government leadership, program managers, contracting professionals, engineers, logisticians, financial managers, and operational stakeholders to ensure acquisition programs are executed in accordance with DoD policies, acquisition best practices, and mission priorities.

WHO YOU ARE
Certification
One of the following (or ability to obtain if contractually permitted):
  • DAWIA Practitioner (Level II equivalent)
  • DAWIA Advanced (Level III equivalent)

Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (or the ability to satisfy contract requirements).

Education
Bachelor's degree in Acquisition, Business Administration, Program Management, Engineering, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or another related discipline.
OR
Equivalent combination of education and directly related DoD acquisition experience.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of ten (10) years supporting Department of Defense acquisition programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Defense Acquisition System and Defense Acquisition Framework.
  • Experience supporting acquisition lifecycle activities from requirements development through sustainment.
  • Experience preparing acquisition documentation and supporting milestone reviews.
  • Experience developing executive briefings, reports, and decision packages.
  • Experience managing program cost, schedule, performance, and risk.
  • Experience supporting acquisition planning, market research, and program execution.
  • Experience responding to executive taskers, data calls, and management inquiries.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Government and contractor personnel.

Preferred Experience
Experience supporting one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Acquisition Analyst will support Government program offices by:
  • Assisting in the planning, execution, and management of DoD acquisition programs.
  • Developing acquisition strategies and supporting acquisition planning activities.
  • Preparing and maintaining acquisition documentation including Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), Acquisition Program Baselines (APB), Systems Acquisition Management Plans (SAMP), funding documentation, spend plans, and related acquisition artifacts.
  • Supporting requirements development and acquisition milestone preparation.
  • Conducting market research and supporting technology assessments.
  • Monitoring program cost, schedule, technical performance, and risk while recommending corrective actions when appropriate.
  • Performing program analyses and developing recommendations to improve efficiency and mission effectiveness.
  • Preparing executive-level reports, briefings, dashboards, and decision support materials.
  • Coordinating with Government stakeholders, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and external partners.
  • Supporting responses to executive taskers, audits, and data calls.
  • Monitoring program compliance with applicable DoD acquisition policies, regulations, and directives.
  • Supporting budget planning, resource management, and financial execution activities.
  • Maintaining program records, repositories, and management information systems.
  • Assisting Government leadership in identifying acquisition risks, capability gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Supporting special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.
