Job description

The Data Analyst-Organizational Culture & Engagement is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting workforce data to support initiatives that strengthen organizational culture, enhance employee engagement, improve employee experience, and equip managers with actionable insights. This role partners with Human Resources, people leaders, and key stakeholders to measure the effectiveness of culture and engagement strategies, identify trends, and develop data-driven recommendations that align with organizational values and business objectives. The analyst creates dashboards, reports, and assessments that provide meaningful insights into employee sentiment, workplace experiences, and organizational health. By leveraging qualitative and quantitative data, this role helps drive continuous improvement efforts, supports informed decision-making, and advances a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.

This position will allow the successful candidate to work a primarily remote schedule. There is potential to work onsite up to three days per week for meetings and to support initiatives. 

Responsibilities & Duties

Data Collection, Analysis, and Reporting

  • Create, analyze, develop, and interpret workforce data, metrics, and employee feedback to assess organizational culture, employee engagement, employee experience, and manager effectiveness
  • Develop comprehensive and compelling narratives through reports, presentations, infographics, dashboards, interactive tools, and organizational communications
  • Examine and translate complex data into actionable insights, utilizing data visualization and storytelling techniques to communicate findings clearly and effectively to diverse audiences, including leaders, managers, and employees
  • Monitor trends related to employee engagement, workplace culture, employee experience, retention, organizational effectiveness and health equity. Identifies opportunities for improvement and develops data-informed recommendations, visual resources, and strategic insights for internal and external stakeholders
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure progress toward organizational culture, engagement, employee experience, manager support objectives and health equity

Oorganiational Culture, Engagement and Health Equity Strategy Development

  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve organizational culture, employee engagement, employee experience, manager effectiveness and health equity by identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for continuous improvement
  • Identify and track workforce trends and organizational health indicators that impact employee engagement, retention, workplace satisfaction, productivity, and overall employee experience
  • Assist in the development and evaluation of talent, retention, engagement, and manager support strategies through workforce analytics, employee feedback, and organizational performance data

Communication and Collaboration

  • Create and deliver engaging, data-driven presentations, reports, dashboards, and visualizations that communicate workforce insights, organizational culture metrics, employee engagement outcomes, employee experience and health equity, trends to internal and external stakeholders
  • Partner with Human Resources, Organizational Culture & Engagement team, Health Equity team, business leaders, managers, and other stakeholders to provide workforce analytics and insights that support strategic planning, decision-making, and organizational effectiveness initiatives

Training and Education

  • Support organizational culture, employee engagement, employee experience, manager development and health equity initiatives by providing data-driven insights that identify organizational strengths, gaps, trends, and opportunities for improvement
  • Assist in the development of reports, presentations, toolkits, and educational resources that help leaders and managers understand workforce trends, employee feedback, organizational culture metrics and health equity
  • Promote data literacy across departments by helping stakeholders interpret and effectively utilize workforce data, employee engagement results, organizational culture metrics, employee experience and health equity insights to inform decision-making and action planning

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

Required:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Sciences, Public Health, Data Analysis, or another closely related field. Three (3) years of experience in a data analyst role which includes data gathering, data cleansing, statistical analysis, data visualization, and generating reports. Proven experience in data storytelling and visualization, preferably in HR or OD contexts.

Or

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Sciences, Public Health, Data Analysis, or another closely related field. One (1) years of experience in a data analyst role which includes data gathering, data cleansing, statistical analysis, data visualization, and generating reports. Proven experience in data storytelling and visualization, preferably in HR or OD contexts.

Preferred:

Human resources, health equity or data science certification.

Experience in health care, nonprofit, government, or corporate organizational culture and engagement or health equity initiatives.

Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL for data analysis.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
  • Experience with survey and evaluation design, data collection, and data analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in MicroStrategy software
  • Strong graphic design skills with experience in Adobe InDesign or similar programs

Salary Range

$61,439 - $79,871/ Annually 

Exact compensation will be determined based on the candidate's education, experience, external market data and consideration of internal equity.
