Help Improve Outpatient Care Through Technology
We are seeking an Application Analyst I - Ambulatory Applications to join our Digital Technology Services (DTS) team. In this role, you will support, configure, and optimize the applications that power physician practices, outpatient clinics, and ambulatory care settings across Deaconess Health System.
You'll work closely with providers, clinic staff, operational leaders, and fellow technology professionals to ensure clinical applications are functioning effectively and supporting efficient, patient-centered care. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, workflow analysis, system optimization, and building strong partnerships with healthcare teams.
As a trusted resource for ambulatory applications, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to system enhancements, enterprise initiatives, and ongoing improvements that help clinicians provide exceptional care.
What You'll Do
  • Support, maintain, and optimize ambulatory and outpatient clinical applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated application issues to minimize workflow disruptions
  • Partner with providers, clinic staff, and operational leaders to understand business needs and identify technology solutions
  • Conduct workflow analysis and discovery sessions to improve system efficiency and user experience
  • Configure and maintain application build, templates, screens, reports, queries, and automation tools
  • Support system upgrades, testing, maintenance activities, and performance optimization efforts
  • Collaborate with DTS teams to support interfaces, integrations, and data exchange processes
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, workflow guides, and support materials
  • Follow established change management, build, testing, and production support processes
  • Provide end-user support, education, and training as needed
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned ambulatory applications and workflows
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions that enhance patient care and operational efficiency
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in CIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three or more years of healthcare or enterprise application support experience
  • Experience supporting clinical applications, preferably in ambulatory or outpatient environments
  • Understanding of outpatient workflows, including scheduling, documentation, orders, referrals, and billing processes
  • Experience with SQL queries, reporting tools, and data analysis
  • Familiarity with system integrations, interfaces, testing, and application upgrades
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and support requests in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement
