Job Summary:
NEOGOV is seeking a Data Analyst to support the Illinois Attorney General's office. The role involves collecting, querying, and analyzing data to assist in case assessments and investigations, while also preparing reports and acting as a liaison between various organizations.
Responsibilities:
• collecting, querying, organizing, and researching data
• perform comprehensive data analysis in support of case assessment and investigative duties
• identify questionable practices, abnormalities and/or irregularities
• run queries using specialized databases
• develop data history analysis to support investigations
• prepare written reports supporting exhibits such as chart and graphs to support analysis
• act as a liaison between various organizations and agencies to develop and implement general and case specific information exchange
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in economics, information technology, computer science, accounting, finance, business, or similar quantitative field
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Ability to demonstrate critical analysis
• Strong technological and problem-solving skills
• Ability to conduct research using law enforcement databases and open-source search tools
• Outstanding written and communication skills
• Attendance, flexibility, and the ability to build and maintain satisfactory working relationships with other agencies and OAG employees
