Job Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY: Establishes and formulates policies and procedures affecting data base management. Maintains the accuracy and completeness of Baan data bases and corresponding label data bases. Accuracy of the data affects many functional areas such as Purchasing, Engineering, PICS, Accounting, Finance, Systems, and Production. Assists various functional areas (PICS, Engineering, etc.) in utilization of associated data bases.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains accurate sales prices on Baan finished good items. Maintains accurate cost (raw materials and manufactured parts). Issues, communicates, and maintains control of new part numbers. Maintains additions, revisions, obsolescence of parts, bill of materials routings, and extended descriptions. Maintains label information in label data bases. Serves as a resource for label printing. Maintains Baan master files and various tables (account cross reference, reason codes, class codes, multiple inventory locations, work centers, work areas). Maintains and communicates, bill of materials, linkages to production parts, report listings for engineering tracking system. Maintains proper documentation of all data base changes to serve as an audit trail. Audits data bases on ongoing basis. Works closely with PICS to ensure proper timing of engineering changes. Assists implementation and communication of customer driven label modifications. Assists in development and implementation of quality procedures, work instructions and standards. Understands Magna Mirrors Holland's quality policy and assures compliance with ISO/IATF systems. Provides training/advice in utilization of Baan and associated data bases.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate's degree in computer science or related business field preferred or equivalent aptitude with ability to understand the business operating system.
  • Thorough understanding of the Baan system and all add-on systems.
  • Knowledge of computer/data base files, file layouts, and field names.
  • Proficient in use of spreadsheet, word processing, graphics, and data base software.
  • Knowledge of Magna Mirrors products and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work independently and set own work priorities; strong attention to detail.
  • Positive and cooperative attitude to provide service to the operations and customer service teams.
