Job description

Essential Functions & Qualifications

Identify actionable business insights hidden within existing reports and datasets. Communicate these insights to Executive Leadership Team to support strategic and operational decisions.

Formulate and investigate new business questions in response to evolving challenges and opportunities. Interrogate data to uncover trends, correlations, and anomalies not previously considered, e.g. surfacing insights that can influence decisions around pricing, risk selection, target marketing, distribution strategy, claims handling, and customer experience.

Work cross-functionally with actuarial teams and management reporting experts to amplify analytical capabilities. Lead collaborative efforts to build unified data narratives that drive clarity and foresight.

Develop new, innovative reporting models that go beyond standard KPIs. Propose fresh reporting structures that illuminate emerging performance drivers or risk indicators.

Translate ambiguous business challenges into structured analyses using internal datasets. Recommend solutions or mitigation strategies based on rigorous data interpretation.

Present findings, insights, and recommendations in a clear, compelling way tailored to executive audiences. Support strategic planning sessions and performance reviews with data-backed perspectives.

5-8 plus years of progressive experience in data science, advanced analytics, or business intelligence required.

Strong working knowledge of P&C insurance operations, underwriting, claims, and financial performance metrics required.Familiarity with actuarial and management reporting processes, able to collaborate fluently across both required.

Proven experience delivering insights that influence business decisions at the executive level required.

Expert-level proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other data interrogation tools required.

Strong data visualization skills using Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent platforms required.

Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, able to bridge the gap between data complexity and business clarity required.

Familiarity with agentic and generative AI tools to enhance data interrogation, automate insight generation, or prototype analytical frameworks required.
