Job description

Position Summary...What you'll do...We are looking for an individual who sits at the intersection of analytics, engineering, and business strategy. Someone who is deeply technical and demonstrates strong analytical judgment and critical thinking.
 Core technical requirements:
  • Advanced SQL expertise is the top priority
    • Complex joins/window functions/CTEs
    • Query optimization and performance awareness
    • Ability to work confidently with large, messy datasets
    • Data validation and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong Python skills for analytics, automation, and data manipulation
    • Pandas, scripting, API interaction, automation workflows, etc.
  • Familiarity with modern technical workflows/tools
    • Git/version control
    • Working in shared repositories
    • Understanding collaborative development practices
  • Comfort working across BI/data platforms and technical ecosystems
  • Demonstrated ability to incorporate AI tools into day-to-day workflows to improve efficiency, accelerate analysis, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance problem-solving
    • Includes leveraging tools such as ChatGPT/Copilot/LLM-based workflows thoughtfully and effectively
    • Looking for practical adoption and workflow integration, not just passive familiarity

However, technical ability alone is not enough. The ideal candidate is someone who:
  • Thinks critically and challenges assumptions
  • Investigates root causes instead of stopping at surface-level metrics
  • Can navigate ambiguity without needing overly prescriptive direction
  • Frames business problems analytically
  • Translates data into actionable recommendations
  • Asks thoughtful follow-up questions and demonstrates curiosity
  • Understands tradeoffs, edge cases, and downstream impacts
  • Operates more like a strategic technical partner than a report builder
  • Continuously looks for ways to scale their impact through automation, AI, and process improvement
