What you'll be doing

The Operations, Transformation and Automation is building and supporting instrumentation, analytics, automation, reporting and capacity management capabilities. We are committed to streamlining our processes through simplification and automation to improve our operations and better serve our partners and clients. The Sr. Analyst, Automation & Analytics is responsible for developing solutions leveraging self-serve tools such asPower Apps, Power Automate, VBA Alteryx,Azure DevOps, Power BI & Tableauto address business problems. The incumbent will assist in the resolution of routine and non-routine operational problems or issues by investigating, analyzing and providing an informed and independent opinion or recommendation on compliance issues, changes to policies, adequacy of operational controls, risk assessment, and control activities.

The Sr. Analyst, Automation & Analytics provides technical leadership to develop precise steps and processing logic across all platforms, ensuring the designed specifications achieve business needs. In addition, the role provides comprehensive senior level technical consulting to other senior management and senior technical teams. The role provides consultation for senior management on a wide spectrum of existing and emerging infrastructure technologies, translating user requirements to process and data requirements and developing solutions for the business with far-reaching impact. The role makes technology selection decisions that are often made in situations where business requirements are not completely defined.The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong understanding of business analytics and have an automation mindset. The successful candidate will be required to work in a faced-paced environment with changing requirements. Flexibility, adaptability and ability to think of outside-the-box solutions will be key to success.

You can effectively perform all work activities remotely, and will only be required to be on-site on an occasional basis (1-2 days per month). This is subject to business needs and there may be additional on-site days required.

How you'll succeed

  • Strategic Development & Execution:Perform and coordinate complex solution design activities. Understand the business requirements and translate them into system and application design that is aligned with our technology roadmap.Design and document the technical functionality, infrastructure, interfaces and integrations. Lead the design of cost-effective and innovative solutions to meet both business objectives and the goal of operational efficiency.
  • Strategy and Roadmap:Contribute to technology roadmaps that are aligned with the bank's vision, strategy, and business objectives. Lead multiple complex technology solutions while maintaining consistency across the platform, adopting best practices and pushing forward continuous improvements
  • Stakeholder Management:Act as thesolutionlead and interface with the project teams by driving and moderating design review sessions to walk stakeholders through and ensure that the overall design aligns with business requirements as well as architectural directions. Support and mentor junior designers and developers through knowledge sharing, collaboration and effective problem solving

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate 1-3+ yearsexperience indesigning, developing, implementing and supporting applications with expertise in most of the following: No/Low Code Tools (VBA, Alteryx, Power Automate, Power App), Analytics Software (Tableau, Power BI), Databases (SAS, Oracle, SQL Server), Cloud (Azure, AWS), ETL (Informatica, SSIS), and Tools (Tools: source control/issue management: Git, TFS, JIRA, Azure DevOps, Selenium). Experience with Python is an asset.
