POSITION SUMMARY:

The Data Analyst manages the technical data architecture, automated data pipelines, data integration, and reporting infrastructure (dashboards) that support accreditation, assessment, and institutional research.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This person is responsible for the following:

  • Data Architecture & ETL: Develops and maintains SQL queries, scripts, and automation workflows to extract data from systems
  • Dashboarding & Reporting: Designs, deploys, and maintains interactive dashboards using visual tools (e.g., Power BI) for assessment, enrollment, and operational tracking.
  • Data Governance & Quality: Maintains data dictionaries and validates integrity across transactional and analytical databases.
  • Accreditation Systems: Builds automated digital repositories and evidence pipelines to gather compliance metrics efficiently.
  • Assists with staff training and development in areas related to data collection, data management, and data analysis.
  • Supports institutional data needs for strategic decision‑making, enrollment planning, student success, and evaluation of program effectiveness.
  • Other responsibilities, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

Meet the technical qualifications for the position, ability to explain data concepts, ability to think through processes from a user and technical standpoint.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

2+ years writing complex SQL, managing database systems, and building business intelligence dashboards (Tableau/Power BI).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Sitting/Stationary Position: Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (e.g., laptop, keyboard, mouse, printer). Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75%–100% of the workday.

Manual Dexterity: Repetitive hand, wrist, and finger movements are required for typing, clicking, and operating peripheral equipment.

Visual Acuity: Close visual clarity is required for viewing monitors, analyzing complex data, reading documentation, and extensive screen time.

Communication: Frequently communicates with colleagues and clients over video call, phone, and messaging platforms; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Lifting: Occasional lifting or moving of office items (such as laptops, monitors, or document boxes) up to 10–15 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Setting: Indoor, climate-controlled professional office environment or home office workspace.

Noise Level: Low to moderate (equivalent to a typical office setting with computers, printers, and quiet conversations).

Travel/Schedule: Standard business hours with minimal travel expected (unless specified otherwise by the role).
