Job Summary:
AdvantEdge Technology, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to support the TESS Task Order with some limited travel. The role involves software development, system updates, debugging, user support, and developing technical documentation for Navy systems.
Responsibilities:
• Perform software development of NSWC PHD’s in-house custom data analysis tool Next Generation Data Analysis & Reduction Toolset (NG-DART).
• Provide support for the maintenance of hardware used for software development.
• Support the development and maintenance of Product Requirement Documents (ex., Software Requirements Specifications, Software Design Descriptions, Data Dictionaries, etc.), User Manuals, Quick Reference Guides, and Installation Guides.
• Performing data collection, distribution, and analysis.
• Must meet USN cyber workforce requirements.
• Must maintain documentation integrity for classified, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and unclassified materials.
• Must have strong knowledge of advanced features of MS Word & MS Office Products and strong technical writing skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with own transportation and able to support limited travel (0-10%).
• Must be able to satisfactorily complete background check and get a government clearance.
• Must be able to follow company policies and procedures.
• Must be able to write, speak and understand English and able to write clear, detailed technical monthly reports.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Either Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical degree and minimum of 4 years’ experience or no degree with a minimum of 10 years software development experience supporting Navy systems.
• Perform software development of NSWC PHD’s in-house custom data analysis tool Next Generation Data Analysis & Reduction Toolset (NG-DART).
• Provide support for the maintenance of hardware used for software development.
• Experience with software development using Git, GitHub and/or Azure DevOps, and .NET languages (Visual Basic, C#, and or F#).
• Support the development and maintenance of Product Requirement Documents (ex., Software Requirements Specifications, Software Design Descriptions, Data Dictionaries, etc.), User Manuals, Quick Reference Guides, and Installation Guides.
• Performing data collection, distribution, and analysis.
• Must meet USN cyber workforce requirements.
• Must maintain documentation integrity for classified, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and unclassified materials.
• Must have strong knowledge of advanced features of MS Word & MS Office Products and strong technical writing skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with own transportation and able to support limited travel (0-10%).
