Job Description

We have an immediate opening for an Audio Visual Technician III to join our Michigan office located in Commerce. The technician will be an integral part of a team dedicated to installation and service. We seek individuals with technical aptitude and a great attitude.

Primary Role

Lead and perform AV system installation tasks such as installing displays and dvLED walls, configuring system devices, tuning audio systems, performing final system commissioning, etc. in addition to the maintenance, advanced troubleshooting, and repair of AV equipment.

Detailed Activities

  • Lead the installation and integration of innovative AV technologies from manufacturers such as Barco, Biamp, Christie Digital, Crestron, Extron, Middle Atlantic, NVIDIA, Poly, Samsung, Shure, Sony and Microsoft Teams in our systems.
  • Review project Scope of Work (SOW) to ensure quality and completeness of installation
  • Read and interpret architectural drawings, schematics, and blueprints
  • Fine tune audio video systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Utilize test and calibration equipment
  • Set up workstations (PC) audio and video input and output (including advanced video configurations)
  • Configure IP addressable devices to establish communication on a network
  • Perform preventative maintenance services, routine testing, and problem diagnosis of integrated systems
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and changing priorities
  • Exercise appropriate judgement when dealing with customers and planning/executing tasks
  • Effective communication with clients and colleagues
  • Accountable for ensuring that all job tasks are performed in accordance with IGI standards
  • Communicate and interact with colleagues and customers in a professional and timely manner

Qualifications
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Advanced knowledge of commercial audiovisual systems

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience as an AV integration technician preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of AV systems, and working knowledge of wall/ceiling construction techniques

Compensation range is $29/hr. - $39/hr. depending on experience.
