Pay: $12.20/Hour

Position Type: part-time

Benefit: Free YMCA Membership


Work Schedule: 

 We have various dance programming available throughout the summer for kids age 3 through elementary school and beyond. This position is responsible for teaching fundamentals of dance, basic choreography, and fostering positive growth and enjoyment of dance. Additional responsibilities include class preparation and maintaining a safe environment.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of dance skills and safety awareness are required. Personal experience in dance, background in Y philosophy and experience coaching are beneficial.
  • Must be energetic and enjoy working with kids in a fun and fast-paced environment.
  • Must be sensitive to the needs of individuals and have the ability to build rapport with participants and parents.
  • Self-confidence, strong communication skills, and the ability to enforce good behavior, consistently and calmly.
  • Must possess a spirit of positivity and exhibit the Y core values of respect, responsibility, honesty and caring.

Certifications:

  • CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
