Position Summary

The Dairy Supervisor is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Dairy Department, ensuring exceptional product quality, inventory accuracy, merchandising standards, customer service, and associate productivity. This position provides leadership and direction to department associates while helping maintain optimal in-stock conditions, minimizing shrink, and supporting department sales and profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities Department Operations
  • Oversee daily Dairy Department activities and workflow.
  • Ensure dairy products are properly stocked, rotated, dated, and merchandised according to company standards.
  • Monitor department conditions to maintain product freshness and availability.
  • Support execution of promotional programs, seasonal displays, and merchandising initiatives.
  • Ensure department readiness and presentation throughout operating hours.
Inventory Management
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs.
  • Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking dairy products.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory control and product rotation practices.
  • Identify out-of-stock conditions and take corrective action when appropriate.
  • Help reduce shrink through proper handling, storage, dating, and rotation procedures.
Customer Service
