Job Summary
As a part of the Sendik's team, the Dairy/Frozen Associate will be responsible for modeling and promoting Sendik's culture by consistently providing "best in class" service to our guests. The Dairy/Frozen Associate is responsible for rotating, stocking and facing the Dairy/Frozen Department; ensuring each product is of high quality and priced accurately. The Dairy/Frozen Associate will also assist the department with miscellaneous tasks including, but not limited to, cleaning, maintaining back stock and gathering grocery carts and baskets as needed.

Work Experience
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Serve customers in the Dairy/Frozen Department while modeling Sendik's culture and providing "best in class" customer service, which includes, greeting, engaging, delighting and thanking every guest for their business
  • Assist customers in selecting products, answering questions and offering suggestions as needed
  • Stock, rotate and face the Dairy/Frozen Department aisles and coolers
  • Maintain and work back stock items
  • Assist with unloading deliveries and gathering items to be stocked
  • Assist with general cleaning of the department and gathering grocery carts and baskets as needed
  • Operate, maintain and clean Dairy/Frozen equipment including, u-boats, flat carts and pallet jacks
  • Assist with the training and mentoring of new associates in the Dairy/Frozen Department
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and procedures
  • Assist with all other Dairy/Frozen Department duties as needed

Qualifications:
  • Must be a minimum of 16 years of age due to required operation of Dairy/Frozen equipment
  • Ability to work in a colder environment
  • Eagerness to interact with customers
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and organization skills
  • Ability to work at a fast paced and efficient manner
  • Strong sense of team - ability to anticipate the needs of the team
  • Ability to take initiative and make decisions independently regarding department needs and priorities, under general supervision
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, push/pull for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
