Location: Dairy Queen

Reports To: Shift Leader / Assistant Manager / General Manager

Position Summary:

The Chill Staff team member is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality Dairy Queen® treat products, including soft-serve, Blizzards®, sundaes, and other desserts. This position ensures treat orders are prepared efficiently and accurately, while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in accordance with company standards and health regulations. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:Treat Preparation & Service:
  • Prepare and assemble treat items quickly and accurately in accordance with Dairy Queen recipes and brand standards.
  • Ensure all products meet company quality, appearance, and portion standards before being served.
  • Maintain awareness of customer needs and deliver exceptional service with a positive, helpful attitude.
  • Equipment & Safety:
  • Operate and maintain chill equipment (including softserve machines, mixers, etc.) safely and in compliance with health and safety guidelines.
  • Perform regular cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and tools used in treat preparation.
  • Cleanliness & Organization:
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the chill station and all frontofhouse areas.
  • Complete assigned prep work and ensure the chill station is stocked with necessary items for each shift.
  • Follow product rotation procedures to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
  • General Restaurant Duties:
  • Participate in daily cleaning tasks including mopping, sweeping, trash removal, restocking supplies, and maintaining restroom cleanliness.
  • Assist with parking lot pickup, freezer organization, and other facility upkeep as needed.
  • Follow the PRIDE checklist to ensure chill station standards are met at all times.
  • Teamwork & Communication:
  • Work collaboratively with coworkers and managers to ensure smooth shift operations and quality guest experiences.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with other team members to ensure accurate order preparation.
  • Promptly report any equipment issues, customer concerns, or unusual situations to a supervisor.
  • Customer Interaction:
  • Actively engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Support the promotion and sampling of treat items when appropriate.
