Position Overview

Serenity & Grace Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in beautiful Astoria, Oregon. Work Environment

You will be working onsite within our rehabilitation center, which operates Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. Our nurturing environment fosters collaboration among multidisciplinary teams, allowing for comprehensive patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of residents’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to develop tailored therapy strategies.
• Design, implement, and monitor personalized treatment plans that align with individual goals and healthcare requirements.
• Evaluate resident progress regularly, adjusting care plans to reflect changing needs while celebrating achievements to motivate clients.
• Remain current with evolving best practices within occupational therapy and ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and inclusive care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The occupational therapist will work directly with a diverse group of residents ranging from those recovering from surgery to individuals with chronic physical or cognitive conditions. You will have the opportunity to make significant impacts on their lives, often through activities of daily living, rehabilitation techniques, and adaptive strategies to enable individuals to regain or enhance their independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Possession of an active Oregon Occupational Therapist license.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is essential.
• Strong familiarity with occupational therapy standards, documentation practices, and use of electronic medical record systems.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within geriatric care or rehabilitation facilities.
• Training in specialized therapy techniques or modalities that align with promoting patient independence.
• Experience with interdisciplinary teamwork and collaboration in delivering patient-focused care.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
