Position Overview
We are seeking a friendly, flexible, and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the dentist during a wide range of procedures, ensure a smooth and comfortable patient experience, and help maintain an efficient, organized clinical environment. Compensation & Schedule
Growth Opportunity:
Position expected to expand into a full-time role as the practice continues to grow
What Youโll Do
Provide chairside assistance during restorative, surgical, endodontic, pediatric, emergency, and preventive procedures
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and patient records
Take dental impressions and expose quality radiographs
Accurately document clinical notes and patient information
Educate patients on procedures and reinforce treatment plans
Explain consents, answer patient questions, and obtain signatures
Perform basic lab tasks (e.g., pouring models, fabricating bleaching trays)
Maintain sterilization and infection control standards (OSHA, CDC, HIPAA compliant)
Clean, organize, and stock treatment areas and sterilization rooms
Monitor and maintain dental equipment, including troubleshooting and coordinating repairs
Support scheduling, referrals, and overall office flow
Assist with front desk duties as needed
Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment
Assist with front desk responsibilities as needed, including scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, and phone support

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Dental Radiology Certification (required)
CRP certification (required)
North Carolina DA2 Certification (required)
Coronal Polishing (required)ย
5-6 years of experience (required)
Experience with Curve system (preferred)

Physical Requirements
This role requires standing, walking, and use of hands for extended periods. The position may involve occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), as well as bending, reaching, and crouching. Good vision and manual dexterity are essential. Exposure to a clinical environment is expected. Reasonable accommodations are available.
