Job description

The Tool/API Integrator ensures seamless integration and interoperability of Enterprise Architecture (EA) tools, repositories, and APIs under the EASS contract. Reporting to the Program Lead and Lead Architect and directly supporting the Architecture & Data Management Branch (ADMB), this role focuses on integrating the EA Repository and metamodel with systems such as ServiceNow and the Common Service Data Model (CSDM). Responsibilities include ensuring data compatibility, developing and troubleshooting APIs, XML interfaces, data feeds, and ETL processes, and supporting the provisioning and management of tools like Ins-Pi (YouDesign). This position enables efficient, data-driven EA capabilities that support TSA's mission to protect the nation's transportation systems through robust tool integration and automation.
Responsibilities
  • Integrate the EA Repository tool and metamodel with ServiceNow platform and Common Service Data Model (CSDM), ensuring compatibility with existing EA data.
  • Develop, customize, and troubleshoot APIs, XML interfaces, data feeds, and ETL processes for seamless data exchange and interoperability between EA tools and repositories.
  • Support the provisioning and platform/user/software management of Ins-Pi (YouDesign), including annual subscription management, unlimited read-only licenses, 12 editor licenses, advisory services, initial setup, configuration, and remote enablement.
  • Provide up to 6 months of advisory, initial setup, and configuration support for Ins-Pi, along with 3 days of consulting for repository setup/data load and 3 days of training.
  • Collaborate with ADMB and other stakeholders to address integration challenges, perform tool administration, and ensure ongoing technical support and maintenance.
  • Assist in reconciling information across different systems, recommending enhancements to facilitate progress and decision-making.
  • Support optional or emerging requirements related to tool integration via contract modifications, negotiating costs as needed.
  • Ensure all integration efforts utilize TSA-approved collaboration tools and comply with DHS/TSA policies for security and data management.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues and optimize data flows to support governance, reporting, modeling, and modernization activities.

Qualifications
  • US Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in tool integration, API development and systems interoperability, preferably in federal or enterprise IT environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with API development (e.g., RESTful, XML), ETL processes, data feeds, and integration platforms.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow and Common Service Data Model (CSDM) integration.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture tools and repositories, including data modeling and metamodel customization.
  • Excellent problem-solving, technical troubleshooting and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:
  • Master's degree.
  • Experience supporting TSA, DHS, or other federal agencies with EA tool integrations.
  • Familiarity with Ins-Pi (YouDesign) or similar EA modeling and repository tools, including setup, configuration, and training.
  • Knowledge of federal IT compliance (e.g., FITARA, OMB directives) and data standards (e.g., metadata, authoritative sources).
