Position Title: Joint Targeting Instructor / Operations Specialist II Location: Virginia Beach, VA- Dam Neck Annex Category: Contingent Schedule (FT/PT): FT Travel Required: N/A Shift: Day Remote Type: On-site Clearance required: Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility/access required Division: Aviation Salary: $105K-$135K ***THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD*** Job Description: ACT1 Federal is seeking an experienced Joint Targeting Instructor / Operations Specialist to support the Joint Targeting School (JTS) at Dam Neck Annex, Virginia Beach, VA. The selected candidate will provide classroom and virtual instruction in Joint Targeting and serve as a Subject Matter Expert supporting curriculum reviews, exercises, conferences, working groups, and continuous improvement of Joint Targeting courseware. The position supports instruction across the Joint Targeting Cycle and related operational-level planning, intelligence, fires, target development, capabilities analysis, force assignment, dynamic targeting, assessment, and Joint/Service targeting processes. Primary Responsibilities * Deliver resident and virtual instruction for the Joint Targeting Staff Course. * Teach and facilitate Joint Targeting Cycle concepts, processes, practical exercises, and assessments. * Support up to 45 resident and virtual course iterations annually as part of a two-person instructional team. * Participate in curriculum reviews, doctrine conferences, working groups, and targeting-related meetings. * Assist with development and revision of lesson materials, practical exercises, tests, and distance-learning content. * Compile and assess student performance and learning-objective information. * Maintain current knowledge of Joint doctrine, targeting policy, TTPs, and operational developments. * Support pre-course/post-course administration and after-action reporting. * Work collaboratively with military instructors, Government course managers, and other SMEs. Required Qualifications * Minimum 4 years of experience with the Joint Targeting Cycle. * Graduate of one or more Joint Targeting Staff Courses. * Minimum 1 year of adult training/instruction experience or equivalent education. * Experience supporting the Joint Training System and/or major Service or Combatant Command exercises. * Working knowledge of Joint and Service doctrine and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff instructions/manuals. * Ability to develop and present instructional briefings and support curriculum-development activities. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * U.S. citizenship. * Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility/access. Preferred Qualifications * Combatant Command, Joint Task Force, Service Component, AOC, or Joint Staff targeting experience. * Target development, capabilities analysis, dynamic targeting, fires, intelligence, or combat assessment experience. * Experience instructing Joint/multinational audiences. * Experience with Microsoft Teams LMS, SIPRNET/NIPRNET instructional environments, or distributed learning. * Recent operational targeting experience.
