What You Will Do:

  • Leads cybersecurity strategy and implementation, including risk management framework processes, control implementation, and documentation.

  • Embeds security practices across systems and workflows, providing guidance on secure design, data protection, and access controls.

  • Ensures compliance with federal security standards and facilitates audits, assessments, and remediation activities.

  • Oversees incident response planning, investigation, and resolution, and promotes organization-wide security awareness.

  • Advises leadership on risk posture and mitigation strategies, balancing security requirements with operational needs.


What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, IT, or related field

  • Eight 8 years securing federal systems

  • Expertise in federal security frameworks (e.g., NIST), vulnerability management, and system security

  • Strong risk assessment and communication skills.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "public trust"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their public trust prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an active public trust or suitability are preferred

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Master's degree

  • Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM); experience in data-intensive or research-focused environments.

  • Prior NIH experience

The annual salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$188,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
