Active DoD Secret Clearance required. Security+ and CCNA required. 1. Ability to demonstrate expertise in secure telecommunications and network technologies, protocols, and security practices. 2. Experience in network maintenance, upgrades, and network security 3. VOIP and Wireless Description The Telecommunications and Network Specialist will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and resilient telecommunications and networking infrastructures supporting the Walla Walla location. This position demands a highly skilled individual with a Security+ and CCNA certifications as a minimum. Deployment: Support the development efforts of secure network architectures, including VoIP, wireless communications, and encrypted data systems, ensuring compliance. Maintenance and Security Enhancement: Conduct routine and emergency maintenance tasks, upgrade systems, and implement cutting-edge cybersecurity measures to safeguard all telecommunications infrastructures. Troubleshooting and Optimization: Quickly identify and resolve network issues, enhance system performance, and ensure the reliability and security of communications channels. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to the highest standards of security and compliance as set forth by the DoD and USACE, maintaining documentation and protocols for audit and review processes. Strategic Planning and Collaboration: Work closely with District leaders and other IT professionals to plan and execute network expansions, technological upgrades, and the integration of new systems, aligning with strategic goals and mission requirements. Team: Be a central team members to promoting a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. Demonstrated expertise in secure telecommunications and network technologies, protocols, and security practices. Proven ability supporting complex projects, troubleshoot and resolve significant technical challenges, and innovate within a regulated environment. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams and with various stakeholders. The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $43.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
