Job Description

As Wavestone continues to expand across its key hubs in North America, we have a strong ambition to grow our local cybersecurity presence in the Pittsburgh market, where both the business community and demand for cyber expertise are significant. To support this, we are seeking an experienced senior leader based in Pittsburgh to join our North America Cybersecurity capability and be part of Wavestone's Global Cybersecurity Practice-a leading consulting organization with over 25 years of experience, 1,100+ cybersecurity specialists worldwide, and a strong presence across North America and Europe. This individual will serve as a key local anchor, leveraging their understanding of the Pittsburgh cybersecurity ecosystem to drive business development, strengthen client relationships, mentor consultants, and support the delivery of end-to-end cybersecurity services across strategy, advisory, and large-scale transformation programs.

At the crossroads of management and digital consulting, you will support large organizations-including FTSE 100, Fortune 500, and CAC 40 clients-through their most critical cybersecurity and technologydriven transformations. Your role will focus on aligning cybersecurity strategies with business priorities and organizational objectives, supporting executive leadership in achieving their security ambitions through pragmatic, actionable solutions, and fostering a culture of security awareness and proactive risk management.

Acting as a trusted advisor to CISOs and executive leadership, you will help clients assess their cybersecurity posture, define realistic and riskbased roadmaps, and lead transformation programs that measurably reduce cyber risk and strengthen organizational resilience. You will contribute across 3 main types of engagements:

  • Innovate for our clients, partners, and employees: Identity and Access Management, IT and OT cybersecurity convergence, IoT security, product security office setup, thirdparty risk management, and related initiatives.
  • Protect our clients: Security principles and architecture definition, cloud and API security, SOC and Fusion Center design and sourcing, industrial and OT cybersecurity, incident response, resilience, and crisis management.
  • Ensure operational excellence: Cybersecurity and operational resilience convergence, cybersecurity strategy and road mapping, risk management and regulatory compliance, and largescale program development and management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large and complex cybersecurity engagements in challenging contexts, defining relevant strategies and delivery approaches, anticipating risks, mobilizing the right expertise, and ensuring highquality outcomes that enable client decisionmaking and implementation.
  • Act as a recognized trusted advisor to clients, bringing market insight and cybersecurity expertise to influence executive stakeholders, manage complex situations (e.g., staffing, arbitrations, conflicts), and proactively secure client satisfaction.
  • Play a key role in driving local business development in the Pittsburgh market, leveraging a strong understanding of the regional cybersecurity ecosystem to originate and grow client relationships, strengthen Wavestone's footprint, and lead pitches and proposals with autonomy to win competitive deals.
  • Leverage and develop differentiated expertise to create impact both in client engagements and in sales activities, contributing to thought leadership, new value propositions, and the visibility of Wavestone's cybersecurity capabilities in the US market.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Managers and Senior Managers, acting as a role model for the Positive Way, fostering engagement, supporting career progression, and reinforcing performance and talent development across teams.
  • Contribute actively to the development of the Practice, supporting Partners and Associate Partners in team leadership, staffing, and coordination, while strengthening crosspractice collaboration and aligning delivery, sales, and people objectives.

We are recruiting for a Senior Manager or Associate Partner.

Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience in a clientfacing consulting role or equivalent leadership position within cybersecurity, IT, risk, or management consulting, with demonstrated exposure to large, complex organizations.
  • Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree preferred) in a relevant field such as Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Risk Management, or Business.
  • Proven experience leading complex cybersecurity transformation programs, spanning both strategic advisory (e.g., maturity assessments, operating model design, regulatory remediation) and operational delivery (e.g., IAM, resilience, cloud or security program rollout).
  • Strong cybersecurity domain knowledge with sufficient technical depth to establish credibility with CISOs, IT leadership, and technical teams, while maintaining a pragmatic, businessoriented advisory posture (Wavestone is not an MSSP or systems integrator).
  • Demonstrated ability to structure and manage large, multi-workstream engagements, including governance, risk management, stakeholder alignment, and executive-level communication.
  • Proven track record in business development, including account growth, opportunity identification, proposal shaping, and contributing to winning deals.
  • Established presence in the Pittsburgh cybersecurity and technology community, with a strong network and credibility among senior stakeholders (e.g., CIOs, CTOs, CISOs); demonstrated involvement in the local ecosystem and a proactive approach to community engagement and relationship building.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience mentoring and developing teams, combined with excellent communication and presentation abilities to influence senior stakeholders and deliver high-impact executive materials.
  • Deep expertise in cybersecurity and/or operational resilience domains (e.g., GRC, data protection, cyber risk, cloud security, incident response), with the ability to apply them in real-world client contexts.
  • Strong experience in Banking, Healthcare and/or Manufacturing, with a solid understanding of industry-specific business and regulatory requirements to effectively tailor cybersecurity solutions.
