YOUR ROLE
Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) is a global leader in the automotive manufacturing space, specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of wiring harnesses, high-voltage cabling, and electric vehicle (EV) chargers. As the Senior Manager of Cybersecurity engineering, you will be the primary architect and defender of our digital infrastructure. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering and information security, requiring a proactive mindset to design, implement, and monitor robust security solutions that protect our data, networks and systems from evolving threats.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Architecture & Design
  • Plan, design, and implement security measures and controls for optimal organization cybersecurity and IoT/OT security
  • Develop and execute operational strategies to monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats in real time
  • Drive automation utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) for workflow automations and executions
Threat Intelligence & Response
  • Oversee threat intelligence programs to proactively identify and mitigate emerging risks
  • Coordinate and lead incident response efforts, including containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis
Monitoring & Analytics
  • Design, implement and optimize SIEM, SOAR, and other monitoring tools to ensure comprehensive visibility across IT and OT environments
  • Drive automation and analytics to improve detection accuracy and reduce response times

Operational Resilience
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure secure configurations and timely patching
  • Lead tabletop exercises and simulations to test incident response readiness
Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure operations align with regulatory and internal compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, TISAX, GDPR)
  • Support audit and reporting activities related to security operations
Vendor & MSP Oversight
  • Manage relationships with MSSPs and other third-party security providers
  • Define and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and ensure accountability in service delivery
  • Manage external penetration testing vendors and ensure timely execution of assessments and remediation tracking
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead and mentor a global team of Security Operations Center (SOC) analysts, incident responders, and threat hunters
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on agility, collaboration, and continuous learning
Budget & Resource Management
  • Assist in budgeting and resource planning for cybersecurity operations
  • Recommend investments in tools, services, and training to enhance operational effectiveness

YOUR BACKGROUND
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum of five years of experience in cybersecurity operations, with at least two years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience managing SOCs, incident response teams, and threat intelligence programs
  • Strong technical knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and other security technologies
  • Deep understanding in TCP/IP, DNS, Networking, AWS, Azure or GCP environments
  • Advanced proficiency in server, SIEM and Vulnerability management tools
  • Experience in both IT and OT environments preferred
  • Familiarity with industry frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, ISO 27001)
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, GCIA, GCIH, CISM) are highly desirable
  • Ability to work onsite in Troy, MI
  • Must be legally able to work in the United States without requirement of any type of visa sponsorship or transfer now, or at any time in the future
