Adecco Healthcare and Life Sciences is seeking an experienced Manager of Cybersecurity to lead cybersecurity operations and strategy in Knoxville, TN.

  • Salary range: $150-165K

Position Summary

The Manager of Cybersecurity reports to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and is responsible for leading cybersecurity operations and strategy. This role ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets, with a focus on protecting sensitive data (PHI).

The position provides leadership in implementing cybersecurity standards, policies, and technologies, while overseeing technical projects and daily operations. The Manager is also responsible for team leadership, vendor management, budget oversight, and collaboration with IT and clinical leadership to ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop cybersecurity teams, including engineers, analysts, and compliance staff, ensuring strong performance and professional growth

  • Oversee daily cybersecurity operations, including threat monitoring, detection, incident response, and resolution

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and other regulatory and industry standards

  • Develop and execute cybersecurity strategy, roadmaps, and tactical plans in alignment with organizational goals

  • Manage cybersecurity projects, including implementation of tools, systems, and security initiatives

  • Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and cybersecurity budgets to ensure cost-effective performance

  • Monitor system and network performance, ensuring reliability, availability, and capacity planning

  • Collaborate with IT, clinical teams, and business leaders to align cybersecurity efforts and address service gaps

  • Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to promote organizational compliance and best practices

  • Manage third-party risk, including vendors and biomedical devices

  • Establish and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and governance frameworks

  • Lead security architecture and design to protect sensitive data and IT infrastructure

  • Oversee incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventative measures

  • Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of IT/security experience

  • Minimum 5+ years leading cybersecurity functions in an enterprise environment
