Job description

Description: Hybrid 2 Days Onsite/3 Days Remote in Washington, DC Our client seeks a Reporting & Metrics Analyst to support operational, cybersecurity, and compliance reporting within a federal SOC/NOC environment. The role will develop dashboards, track KPIs and SLAs, and deliver actionable insights to support leadership decision-making. The ideal candidate brings experience building reports and dashboards using modern analytics tools and an understanding of IT operations and cybersecurity metrics.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance. Rate: $55.00 to $60.00/hr.

w2 Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain KPI and SLA reporting across SOC/NOC and cybersecurity operations. * Design and build interactive dashboards and data visualizations to support operational insights. * Analyze operational, compliance, and cybersecurity metrics and trends.

* Produce weekly and monthly status reports for leadership and stakeholders. * Extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources such as ticketing systems, SIEM tools, and operational platforms. * Collaborate with operations, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to define and refine reporting requirements.

* Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of reporting outputs. * Support audit, compliance, and performance reporting needs. * Document reporting processes, data sources, and dashboard logic.

* Identify opportunities for improved metrics, reporting automation, and data-driven decision-making. Experience Requirements: * 4-6 years in reporting, data analysis, or metrics-driven roles. * Hands-on experience with KPI/SLA reporting, dashboard development, and operational, compliance, or cybersecurity metrics.

* Proficiency with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau. * Experience supporting monthly and weekly reporting cadences. * Background working with data from IT operations, cybersecurity, or enterprise systems.

* Strong analytical and data visualization skills. * Technical environment familiarity preferred: Power BI, Tableau, Jira, Confluence, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, AWS, Azure (M365 G5), Intune, Microsoft Purview, Device42, Xacta, Appian, Oracle, and hybrid infrastructure. * Preferred: experience supporting federal agencies or regulated environments, familiarity with ITIL metrics and SOC performance tracking, data transformation and automation using SQL, Python, or Power BI dataflows, exposure to FISMA and NIST, and relevant analytics certifications.

* Soft skills: attention to detail and data accuracy, clear communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders, analytical mindset with continuous improvement focus, and strong organization and time management.
