Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Cyber Security Task Lead to join our team in Linthicum, MD.

You will serve as the Primary Point of Contact (POC) for the Chief Information Officer (CIO), providing high-level strategic and operational support to drive the successful execution of enterprise IT and cybersecurity initiatives for government customer. In this role, you will lead portfolio management, strategic road mapping, enterprise IT architecture, and resource optimization to ensure seamless alignment with mission priorities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Drive the successful execution of enterprise IT and cybersecurity initiatives in full alignment with mission priorities and relevant cyber frameworks.

  • Develop, maintain, and align all IT enterprise strategic initiatives, including portfolio/acquisition strategies, enterprise IT architecture, and long-term roadmaps.

  • Oversee the organization's cloud computing strategy and manage the enterprise data strategy in full alignment with the mission.

  • Manage and provide governance for enterprise portfolios by establishing well-defined portfolio structures, formalizing processes, and implementing clear reporting mechanisms.

  • Optimize the allocation of IT enterprise resources and manage program dependencies through comprehensive, data-driven analysis and cost-benefit assessments for build/buy decisions.

  • Brief the CIO and CISO on agency-wide planned, recommended, and directed actions to enable unity of effort and operational effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

  • Minimum of one year of experience in the last three years leading and supervising teams performing work in IT (Cyberspace), Cybersecurity, Software engineering, or Data/AI under DoDI 8140.01.

  • 5+ years of experience in the last seven years briefing a CIO and CISO on agency-wide planned, recommended, and directed actions.

  • 2+ years of experience in the last seven years overseeing personnel executing command orders issued by USCYBERCOM, the National Manager for National Security Systems, or another authorized Commander.

  • 3+ years of experience in the last ten years leading and supervising teams building, operating, securing, and defending LAN/WAN systems, firewalls, IPv6, VPN, and cloud/data systems.

  • 5+ years of experience in the last seven years managing unified communications, including VTC systems across multi-level classification environments (Unclassified, Secret, and TS/SCI).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience in the last three years leading and supervising teams running a CI/CD pipeline utilizing containerization, micro-segmentation, and Infrastructure as Code.

  • 2+ years of experience in the last five years leading and supervising teams planning and executing migration of legacy systems into multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud environments.

  • 2+ years of experience in the last seven years leading personnel developing and implementing data lakes and modern enterprise data strategies.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain SCI.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and interact with team members.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and executive leadership, which may involve delivering technical presentations.

  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
