Job Description
This position is responsible for cultivating and developing relationships with Missouri's K-12 institutions with the goal of retaining or recruiting the organization as part of the MOREnet consortium. This position serves as one of the main points of contact for K-12 school districts for our organization.
This position provides consultation and guidance to MOREnet's K-12 members on the value of consortium participation, including the relevant technical products and services we offer. This position must develop a basic to intermediate understanding of the various offerings and the benefits and value included in order to appropriately relay and guide the member's understanding, with the option of engaging a subject matter expert in the conversation for a more in depth service overview, as necessary.
This position is expected to perform and document member outreach activities in our Customer Relationship Management system on a consistent and regular basis. Expected outreach will include regular and routine travel to member locations throughout the state, outreach via telephone or video calls, as well as timely and professional email communications with key organizational contacts. This Member Service Advisor will professionally represent MOREnet at various meetings and conferences across the state and at MOREnet, to promote member engagement.
This position is expected to use our internal systems to provide electronic service agreements, with current and accurate pricing for our members as needed, and to ensure the order fulfillment process is completed to the member's satisfaction. This includes following up with newly onboarded members to ensure they maximize the services they have subscribed to and that other users within the organization are informed and have appropriate access to the services.
This position will lead or assist with various technology-related, member-centric programming and activities that MOREnet may convene in order to gather member contacts together for a particular focus or activity, including eSports, Cybersecurity awareness, annual conference, member conferences, Information Technology showcases and discussions, etc.
Excellent communication skills are required in this role as the main point of contact for K-12 schools.
Given the nature of technology and the business tools required, a willingness to learn and embrace new products and processes is important.
Shift
Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00 MOREnet currently has a modified ROWE culture (Results-Only Work Environment). Employee must live within a 4 hour drive of Columbia MO.
Minimum Qualifications
An associate's degree (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) in an area related to the member base MOREnet serves and at least two years of relevant experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Must live within four (4) hours of Columbia, Missouri and regularly participate in staff meetings held in the office.
Preferred Qualifications
Independent, strong work ethics are a must; e.g. strong verbal and written communication skills, initiative-driven, ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge effectively, thorough and timely decision making skills, and demonstration of integrity and sensitivity to others in working relationships.
A bachelor's or master's Degree in an area related to the member base MOREnet serves is preferred.
Three to five years' experience in sales consulting, client support, or a K-12 school technology, curriculum or administrative position is preferred.
A working knowledge of K-12 administration and policy planning is preferred.
Knowledge of networking or telecommunications fundamentals and information technology and application solutions used by K-12 organizations is preferred.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $60,000 - $68,000 Commensurate with experience
