About this position: Cloud Architect Location - Randolph AFB, TX

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adoption process.
  • Regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software.
  • Develop and organize cloud systems.
  • Work closely with Cybersecurity to monitor the portfolio's cloud privacy.
  • Respond to technical issues.
  • Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques, including bulk application transfers into the cloud.
  • Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
  • Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a relevant field
  • Level of Experience Requirements: 15-20 years of experience designing, executing, and supporting IT cloud solutions.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have or be able to attain a SECRET security clearance.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
  • Deep knowledge of Department of Defense cloud policies and processes.
  • Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work.
  • Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners.

Preferred
  • Agile development experience.
  • Active SECRET security clearance.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.
